Emissions Inventory Compiler
-
Sep 2019 - May 2020
I was the head volunteer for a group working on the City of DeKalb's first greenhouse gas emissions inventory using ClearPath from ICLEI. I was trained on the ClearPath system and then started to obtain data from various sources. This data was checked and input into ClearPath emissions calculators and converted into CO2e. The final results of our city's first-ever inventory will be presented to city council and the mayor once the COVID-19 situation settles down. Our hopes are that this inventory will serve as a baseline for our city to measure future reductions against. Show less

Student Researcher
-
Jun 2015 - Sep 2015
As part of a team, I worked with a professor and another student to research how snow shoveling can lead to heart attacks. I was responsible for doing the background research to see what had been studied on the topic so far. I created an annotated bibliography for relevant and credible sources. My colleague and myself had a poster printed which outlined our research, and this poster was presented at the 2016 AMS Conference in New Orleans as well as at many school undergraduate research artistry days.
