Edwin and I worked together on the product team at Lingo Live. I was the sole product designer, and he was the Head of Engineering for a team of 1-3 other engineers. Together we built a new B2B SaaS coaching platform from scratch in under a year. I’ve always been impressed by Edwin’s out-of-the-box thinking. He looks at complex problems from novel angles, and often pipes up in meetings with ideas that no one has thought of before. Edwin is also thoughtful and efficient with day-to-day project work. He points out potential technical issues early on and works with the rest of the team to find work-arounds, and he completes his project tasks quickly and thoroughly, and takes the time to ask questions or review them when necessary, which I always appreciated. I never reported to Edwin directly, but I know that his team appreciated his leadership and support, and I appreciated how he kept everyone on track when he ran meetings, and he took the time to really take in and empathize with what I was saying when I brought up design concerns. I’m excited for Edwin to spread his wings in his new startup role, and I think he’s an asset to any team he joins.

I had the pleasure of working with Edwin at Lingo Live, and I can say without hesitation that he is a top-notch humorist with a fantastic sense for developing (maybe I got these the other way around). Though we worked in different departments, every interaction I had with Edwin was positive and enjoyable. He is extremely knowledgeable and always willing to lend a hand when needed. In addition to his technical skills, Edwin's love for cats is infectious and always brings a smile to those around him. I would highly recommend Edwin to anyone looking for a talented developer with a great personality.

Creating an optimized system for local delivery logistics in urban environments. Working to solve the logistical problem that is delivery. Continuously improving and implementing better software to get our workforce from point A to point B in the quickest, safest way possible. Developed the software that got the company going and currently developing the next generation of software for Homer. My role as a software engineer include developing and implementing logistics algorithms to improve efficiency of delivery fulfillment, build and maintain web applications using full stack knowledge, and performing data analytics on in-house data. Simultaneously managed multiple (up to 6) teams of undergraduate Biomedical Engineering senior students tasked with solving healthcare issues proposed by clients based in Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, City College Of New York, and New York University. Students were instructed to construct functional prototypes to remedy the problems posed by the clients within the time frame of a year using limited resources. Within this time frame, I provided teams with guidance on product management, design inputs, and R&D. Each team presented a final functional prototype that inspired their clients to continue the project further. One project is currently patent pending. Show less

Contributed to the research & developed a novel research device to study the effects of cyclic bending on rodent spines at varying frequencies and magnitudes. This project was sponsored by Dr. James Itradis, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and was tasked to a team comprised of myself and three other colleague engineers. R&D of this project lasted for a time frame of approximately ~1 year. During this time frame, I developed and programmed a mechanical electronics system using the Arduino hardware platform. In addition, a user-friendly graphics user interface to control the device. Dynamic behavior of this mechanical system was analyzed using MATLAB image processing techniques. This functional prototype was presented and delivered to the sponsor at the end of the R&D time frame. The sponsor expressed satisfaction and a desire to continue this device's development. Researched the dynamic behavior of syntaxin, a membrane protein that may be involved in a multitude of mental sicknesses, during signal transduction through MARTINI parameter molecular dynamics simulations. Developed TCL-based scripts to analyze simulated behaviors. Researched the influence of micro-structure on the thermoelectric properties of bismuth telluride doped with antimony. Fabricated thermoelectric materials with differing micro-structures and measured their efficiency using a Quantum Design Physical Properties Measurement System. Results and conclusions were presented to resident physicists. Researched the influence of micro-structure on the thermoelectric properties of bismuth telluride doped with antimony.
