As part of the College of Design advancement team, I am dedicated to communicating our mission, vision, and values to prospective and current students, faculty, staff, alumni, industry partners, external stakeholders, and design community members. My primary duties include:- Leading the content revision effort of the College's 2019–2020 website redesign process.- Creating and editing marketing-oriented copy across our web communications channels based on audience needs, SEO best practices, and web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0).- Supporting web development by managing web pages via HTML, CSS, and Drupal 8. - Conducting research, performing interviews, and leveraging Google Analytics and SiteImprove data to inform web content decisions, increase page views, and enhance overall website performance.- Implementing UX design principles to help build intuitive site-level navigation, page layouts, and content formatting standards.- Planning and executing UX testing to better understand how users approach and use our website and identify potential areas for improvement.- Meeting with senior leadership and relevant parties to present and discuss content strategy.- Ensuring all messaging is on-brand and reflective of our diverse community. I am honored to have served a full term as the elected chair of the Staff Leadership Committee at the College of Design. In this role, I led inter-departmental initiatives, assemblies, and activities to promote engagement and community within our College, while supporting College-wide goals. With the support of my committee members, I addressed critical topics affecting our community, such as access to resources, staff voting rights, and mental health by unifying and increasing awareness of our ongoing efforts in these areas as well as drafting policy to enact permanent change in our college. My role with Enago involved deadline-sensitive, developmental editing for English Second Language (ESL) scholars seeking publication in American or British journals across STEM fields, such as mechanical engineering, applied mathematics, astrophysics, and computer science.
