As Public Affairs Officer, I manage all publications as well as work with local press and AFA in order to further promote the chapter. Silver Wings is an organization closely tied to The United States Air Force and works hard to form relationships between civilians and cadets alike. The goal is to promote an overall greater understanding of aerospace efforts and national defense among civilians. Through this organization, I was allowed to have important conversations about the defense industry and hear from a variety of speakers, such as Maj. Gen. Jeannie Leavitt. Show less

    • Congresswoman Katie Porter's Youth Advisory Board Intern
      • Mar 2021 - Jun 2022

For over a year I have been interning for Congresswoman Katie Porter on her Youth Advisory Board. In this role, I research legislation ranging from economics policy to foreign affairs and discuss my personal feelings on newly introduced bills with other interns. We than vote on legislation that we recommend to the Congresswoman with suggested amendments. We work hard to not only suggest legislation, but also raise awareness around the importance of being politically involved in one's community. • Intern
      • Jun 2019 - Jun 2019

I was a summer intern at the University of Southern California, Shoah Foundation. We explored ways in which we could engage younger generations in becoming an "upstander" in their own communities. Throughout my summer internship, we helped develop the video-audio recordings taken of survivors of genocides that have occured over history. In addition to this, I learned through direct immersion about the importance of teaching others to advocate against injustices.
