Received an MPhil in Planning, Growth and Regeneration as a graduate student at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, funded by a LaCaixa Fellowship (awarded to 6.7% of applicants). My dissertation used mixed-methods to analyze the social, economic and political implications of inclusive design and highlighted the importance of collaboration between technological advances and current literature on disability rights to prevent technological lock-ins. As Green Officer for the Fitzwilliam graduate community, I developed strategies to engage students, Fellows and staff to influence the College’s environmental and ethical investment policy, finding collaborative solutions to encourage the College to adopt financially sound positive investment practices. My motivation stemmed from a passion to find common-ground between students and the College administration to have a constructive dialogue that would facilitate progress. The College recently implemented changes based on the conversations that were started during my time there. I was also a member of Positive Investment Cambridge and a member of the Fitzwilliam College rowing team.
