I strategically plan, lead, organize, and control safety and sustainability of operations at Eureka Gold Mine. I am a key player in designing, promotion and enforcement of safety health and environmental initiatives to ensure a safe workplace. Being familiar with SHE legislation and the unwritten ethical expectations I am instrumental in ensuring total compliance of operations to legal and other requirements. Worked in a young department, and I had the chance to learn, grow and apply my skills as a critical resource for development. I sizably managed to uphold Safety Health and Environment Standards, organisation wide. I also gained exposure to internal auditing (as an auditor in training), and we achieved certification to ISO 9001 Quality Management Standards, adding on to the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards that the organisation was already certified to.
