Some of my achievements in this role include: Contributed to strengthened knowledge base on the Kenyan tax system through an analysis of all of the Double Taxation Agreements that Kenya has entered into and their potential impacts on Domestic Resource Mobilization as well as tabulating the similarities of the treaties to the OECD, UN and ATAF Tax models and their deviations to the same - Successfully secured stakeholder engagement and provided strategic insights on how to improve the University’s social media reach and engagement on various social media platforms - Contributed to strengthened knowledge translation capacity of University staff through development of training resource materials (one-page and multi-page Policy Brief template, Frequently Asked Questions sheet and power points). These documents have been subsequently condensed into an official Policy Brief handbook that will be used for future University staff trainings. - Participated as an Observer at the 2019 United Nations Committee of Experts on International Cooperation in Tax Matters (UN Tax Committee) Subcommittee Meeting on Transfer Pricing Show less
