I had the chance to interact with Elvir when he was following an awareness course under my academic direction in the area of marine pollution prevention and management with Lloyd's Maritime Academy. Since then we continued to stay in touch and I have been following with great interest his development and his continued efforts to stay active in the industry after such a great exposure as a Chief Engineer at Panama Canal and his service with the Navy in the US. Elvir is a highly motivated professional with eagerness to serve and learn. He has a collaborative spirit and is a great communicator. He is keen to follow recent developments, including green/sustainable shipping agenda. With his lengthy experience as a marine engineer and a life-long learner I have no doubt that Elvir will be an asset to any team engaged with topics falling under his specialism. Wishing him every success!
