Over six months in 2021, I had a front row seat in watching Elvin grow from student to a class leader, followed by instructional associate to a UX designer. From the outset of class, Elvin showed a willingness for self-reflection, risk-taking and critical thinking — three qualities required for a successful UX design career. Between his first and third project, Elvin found his UX voice in remarkable fashion, confidently composing and presenting a persona story that remains memorable to this day; it was so effective, many students reached out to Elvin to learn a few tips (and directly to me, requesting to partner with him on future projects).
