I had the privilege of having Elián on my game team and the insights that they bring to the table during product discussions leaves me surprised that they are still so early in their career. They are going places and I would be shocked if they aren't a lead in just a few years. 10/10 would work with again.

My responsibilities as a game designer at Kabam include working diligently with a professional team towards shipping a AAA title, participating in daily playtests and incorporating feedback from the entire gameplay experience team, and building designs for new characters from the ground up, concept to technical implementation. As part of a large team, I have learned to become an efficient member of a pipeline, optimizing my workflow in order to maximize my creative potential. I am a teaching assistant at the University of Texas at Austin in the School of Design and Creative Tech. I assist the instructor who teaches the Foundations of Creative Coding course, which provides a strong foundation in coding skills transferable to many languages and environments, and the Video Game Scripting Course, which teaches Unity and scripting in C#, though providing support for students and sharing the grading workload of the professor. I am an intern working on a mobile RPG-adventure game for Astire Games, a local indie game company in Austin, Texas. As game designer, sound designer, and composer, my responsibilities include crafting design documentation for the game, creating level designs in Unity game engine, recording and editing sound effects and other audio, and composing and implementing the game's original soundtrack. I work with a team of other interns to collaborate on ideas for the game and implement them in Unity, as well as work together towards publishing the game. Show less
