The ASEAN Forum aims to bring awareness about ASEAN’s role in policymaking and regional stability. As the Project Director, I led a team of 6 subcommittee members to plan, organise and execute NUSPA ASEAN Forum 2015. The event was attended by 120 attendees comprising of undergraduates, graduate students and staff from NUS, NTU S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, and the recently renamed Yusof Ishak Institute of South East Asian Studies.- Conceptualised key themes, ideas and topics for the Forum, and served as liaison toacademics from NUS and external academic institutions.- Led a subcommittee of 6 colleagues, to plan and execute the forum.- The F orum, themed ‘Understanding Islam: An ASEAN Perspective’ culminated in asuccessful event on 10th Sept 2015 with a total turnout of 100 participants. As the Publicity & Design Director, I engaged in design efforts of publicity collaterals targeted at raising awareness for our beneficiary, as well as for our fundraising campaigns. Such efforts include a short film produced to drive up enthusiasm and motivate the incoming student intake for Flag Day 2015. (See video below). Additionally I was also involved in the design of our fundraising items. These efforts culminated in a highly successful fundraising effort that managed to achieve participation from the majority of the student cohort; such that a second run of production of our fundraiser T-shirt was popularly requested and had to be carried out. As the Platoon Administrator for the Deserter Platoon, I was instrumental in the construction of an digital database using MS Excel-based programming for the filing and automated categorisation of wanted personnel records undertaken by the Platoon. Apart from being programmed to categorise wanted personnel into different levels of priority, based on pre-defined criteria and KPIs, the database also provided a system to store information gained from operations. This improved accountability and efficiency of the Platoon's operations while provided easy access to crucial information to Deserter Ops team members. For my efforts I was awarded Best Soldier of the Month for the month of Nov 2013. Show less
