Eloise is wonderful with all ages! She approaches any project thoroughly researching all aspects. She treats her students with respect, and they in turn respect her. She never does things "half way"!

I am the False Solutions Network Coordinator for multiple environmental, climate, and energy justice organizations in Louisiana to help organize a campaign to stop Carbon Capture, Storage, Utilization, and Sequestration. This is a false solution and will continue to endanger communities of color who are already overburdened with environmental injustice and racism by the oil and gas industries. Camp Meade presently is a nexus of creative excellence in the food provider and artistic community worlds. Our current businesses work hard to embody these values. Our desire is to continue on that path by inviting other food makers, artists, and artisans who match our vision to join us at Camp Meade as we grow. The Green at Camp Meade will become a gathering place for events and social congress of all kinds. In this day and age of electronic and virtual connection, we need to have places that bring us all together as friends and neighbors in the age-old traditions of Town Meetings. The importance of the communal lunch or dinner at Town Meeting cannot be underestimated. Show less

Healthy Gulf is committed to uniting and empowering people to protect and restore the natural resources of the Gulf Region. The Gulf of Mexico will continue to be a natural, economic and recreational resource that is central to the culture and heritage of five states and several nations. Teaching over 500 students a week at Langston Hughes Academy, I design and plan lessons for K-4 and teach K-8 grades outside in a one acre garden fully integrated into students academic and experiential education. ESYNOLA works to empower generations of New Orleans children to build and maintain healthy relationships with food, the natural world, themselves and their community. ESYNOLA involves students and the school community in growing, harvesting, preparing and enjoying food together as a means of awakening their senses, cultivating an environment that promotes a sense of pride and responsibility for our land and natural resources, and developing a love of fresh, seasonal foods.
