  When I relocated to Nottingham I began the exciting, brand new Photosmith role with Jessops; advising customers on wall art and photo products, teaching mobile phone photography 1:1's, giving tips on how to improve images, working on photo restorations and taking passport photos. I occasionally contribute to social media and graphic design/marketing as well as working on the in store displays. I receive great customer and colleague feedback about my customer service and knowledge, including named reviews on the website. Unfortunately, because of issues arising due to the Covid 19 Pandemic I have been made redundant from this role.

  I am very excited about my current full time position as a digital artist/photo editor at Mackney photography; working with a variety of shoots, images and genres from our Pop! shoots to boudoir and pin up to portraiture, pets and more. My role also includes interacting with customers, assisting with photoshoots, work in production, and occasionally with the bookings team. When editing I also have the task of cutting down the photoshoots to narrow the large number of images down to the best for viewing. I primarily work with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Bridge.

  Throughout my time at Jigsaw24 I photographed over 50 members of the staff in a make-shift studio environment. I then imported, sorted, renamed and selected the images before using Photoshop to retouch and create masks for (cut out) the photographs. I was provided with the copy from previous projects to create magazine spreads, Christmas party invites, an email, illustrations and icons using InDesign and Photoshop.
