Since completing my apprenticeship to distinction level, I have now moved up within the company to a Digital Marketing Executive position at Comms365. I am continuing to expand my work portfolio by working on solo campaigns, writing more blog posts and content for email marketing and our social media pages. I will also have the opportunity to mentor any new digital marketing apprentices we gain.

I started at Comms365 in July 2018 as a Digital Marketing Apprentice. Since starting at the company I have; been in charge of the social media pages, written blog posts, send out a monthly email newsletter to our Partners and Customers, re-started our company Facebook page, started an Employee Advocacy Programme, helped with campaigns, and raised money for various charities with company activities such as bake sales and quizzes.

Whilst studying art and design at college I looked for a part time job at the weekends. I worked at Chiki Ceramiki, a pottery shop and cafe at the weekends throughout my college course and then continued whilst working full time. I still occasionally work there if anyone is off sick at the weekends and I also do the personalising for the pottery pieces there in my spare time. Whilst at college studying art and design, I began to research into companies near me that would be able to give me graphic design experience and training on the days I didn't have college. I was contacted by Cloudy Creative, and they employed me one day a week to come in and learn about digital marketing, photography and graphic design. Once my art and design college course was complete, I was due to start my digital marketing apprenticeship and job there but unfortunately the company went into liquidation a couple of days beforehand.

After completing my childcare course at college, I went on to work in a primary school in Milton Keynes, as a Nursery Nurse with children aged 3-4 years old. As this was only a part time job, I continued working as a gymnastics coach as well. I left the school in 2015 when I went travelling for a year, but they asked me to come back once I returned from my travels. This time I continued working in the nursery in the morning but then working in the reception class in the afternoon with children aged 4-5 years old.

My first job was working as a gymnastics coach, teaching gymnastics skills to children aged between 5-12 years old. I worked most evenings and every weekend from 2011 until August 2015 and then after my year of travelling, I was asked to come back and continue working there which I did for 4 months, whilst working full time in a school as well. Another job I had whilst travelling and living in Australia, was for a jet boat company in Sydney Harbour. During the week I would either be working in their ticket booth, selling boat tickets and tickets to various other attractions and trips around Sydney, or I would be outside by the boat, handing out flyers and encouraging people to take a jet boat ride. I would also be in charge of taking photos of the customers going on the boat and making sure they were printed out if the customer chose to purchase them and showing the customers the go-pro footage of their jet boat ride, in case they wished to purchase that as well.

Whilst travelling Australia on my gap year, I worked as a live-in Nanny for an Australian family who had three children, all under the age of 5. I worked for the family for three months until I went off to continue my travels around Australia.
