In my current position as a French assistant at Heathfield School I have to organise my own schedule and I therefore have to be quite organised and available as I teach French extra lessons. I have to plan and conduct conversation lessons for the students who prepare GCSE, AS, A level as well as for native speakers. I also have to prepare creative and interactive fun linguistic activities in order to motivate the pupils to learn in a more interactive way. As it is a boarding school I work the extra line in order to help my colleagues in the art department who have to run a show presenting their pupils' work. I take care either of the props in drama or I help the girls to dress up for the fashion show. On the weekend we have to prepare activities as well, and the one I organised lived a real success. Sometimes we also go out with the girls, and I have therefore lot of responsibilities regarding their safety.I also organised an extra curriculum club for the French department: “the young reporter journalists’ club” put forward the idea of instigating a club “for young reporting journalists” with the view to produce a blog. The skills I acquired while working as a correspondent for a daily regional French newspaper will indeed be very useful. With all my jobs, especially my current position at Heathfield, I have developed team working skills. I am definitively an out-going, very cheerful, positive and confident person. I am very hard working and contribute fully to the life of my present department.
