  Sea Link International designs, manufactures, and markets components and systems for automotive lighting. Sea Link International Inc. is a US-based company with two manufacturing locations in China (Suzhou and Shanghai). - I built a multi-functional team (production, quality, maintenance, customer service, procurement) and launched a 24/7 aluminum and magnesium HPDC die casting operation capable of bringing all previously outsourced business in-house, turning the factory profitable in 12 months with zero safety incidents. - I managed two automotive factories with a total of 400 employees. Owned P&L results and S&OP planning and deployment. Set, monitored, and managed KPIs for all departments. Reviewed and approved annual operational and capital budgets for factories. - Under my leadership, factories expanded their capacities and capabilities, teams launched over 140 projects successfully, and they shipped over 25 million high-precision castings per year to top automotive Tier-1 companies in North America, Europe, and China. - Process capabilities: aluminum and magnesium die casting, CNC machining, injection molding, clean room/metallization, assembly, robotic painting, annealing, and other required secondary and inspection processes.

  Mechanical R&D Team - Managed capacity planning for all casting, MIM, and stamping (progressive) tooling, based on the actual OEE, forecast, historical data, and the supplier’s installed capacity, technology maturity level, and capability. In 2011 and 2012, BlackBerry produced 50 million devices annually. - Prepared tooling budgets for all projects, negotiated fair prices with suppliers for production and prototype tooling (casting, stamping, forging, CNC machining, MIM, decorative and protective finishing, etc.), and other special equipment and tooling used specifically for BlackBerry products. - Provided DFM&A expertise end mentored product design teams and suppliers with special emphasis on supplier's manufacturing capabilities, cost reduction, and risk management. - Had a critical role in R&D activities related to new materials and manufacturing processes. Corporate Quality Assurance Team - I was a lead auditor for new suppliers who made it possible for BlackBerry to reach the peak in demand in 2011 and 2012. Worked closely with commodity and mechanical design teams on new supplier selection processes. - I ensured that suppliers were ready for mass production and supported them throughout the launch phase. Worked closely with companies such as Foxconn, Catcher, Hi-P, KH-Vatec, and others. I was in charge of the mass production qualification process for all mechanical metal components used in BlackBerry devices (stamped, die-casted, MIM, CNC machined, etc.). - Monitored suppliers' key performance indicators, identified risks, and drove improvement activities to achieve expected performance and quality levels to enable suppliers to meet peak demand.
