My BSP experience in EJC has been an especially enriching journey. As part of the EXCO of BSP, we were given the autonomy to direct our own learning, such as designing our own lessons and activities. Throughout my journey, I forged many precious friendships while coming up with meaningful activities and it deepened my understanding of what it means to be an aficionado in both Western and Eastern fields of studies.

    • Student Councillor
      • Apr 2021 - Apr 2022

I am honoured to have the opportunity to take part in planning and executing major school events, such as Prom/Graduation Day 2021, Student Forum 2021 and Student Council Elections. As overall-in-Charge of Student Forum 2021, I led a team of councillors in organising events to provide Eunoians with a platform to voice out their opinions and help Council better serve our peers with refined initiatives based on the feedbacks garnered. I also played the role of Publicity In-Charge for Prom/Graduation Day 2021, taking charge of affairs related to decorations and publicity. In 2022's Student Council Elections, I was a member of the Programmes Committee. Together with my peers, we organise various events and discussions to interview and select the next batch of student leaders. Show less

    • Vice President of CCHMS Students’ Council
      • Jun 2019 - Jun 2020

In the Student Council, I directed the Chung Cheng Kindness Movement which was initiated by student councillors under the Student-Initiated Programme (SIP). With fellow student councillors, we planned kindness projects to promote student welfare and appreciation of groups of people within our community. Examples of such initiatives are Share an Umbrella and Spread Kindness Project which allowed students to borrow umbrellas for free on rainy days and the Share a Cup, Spread Kindness Project where students could treat our school janitors a cup of tea or coffee to show our appreciationfor the work they are doing. It has been an honour to have the opportunity to contribute and this experience have enhanced my leadership skills. I had to work with different people with their individual personalities in planning projects and this had imparted public relations skills and empathy which areextremely valuable traits for me in the future. Furthermore, I have recognized the paramount importance for a leader is to welcome the diverse views and opinions of each team member. Everyone have different experiences, knowledge, beliefs and ideas during a discussion. By gathering all these information and incorporating concepts from these sources, it becomes particularly beneficial to make successful projects. I was also involved in community student leadership events such as Dunman High Leadership Symposium and EXPO:SURE! Victoria School Leadership Convention where I had the opportunity to learn from student leaders from other schools and exchange leadership experiences. Show less

    • President of CCHMS Art Club
      • Jun 2019 - Jun 2020

As the chairperson, I have led several student-initiated projects and collaborations in Art Club. With other student team leaders in the Art Club, we launched the “My Artwork and Me” programme on our official social media page to showcase the artworks created by our Art Club members engaging the student population. In addition to the opportunity to present their creativity, members also have the chance to share the meaning behind their works and how they created them. In 2020, my peers in Art Club and I volunteered in the Community Batik Record Breaking Challenge held at Wisma Geylang Serai where we assisted to paint the longest batik in Singapore (550metres). During the event, we persevered to complete the extremely long intricate painting and shared our knowledge about this traditional method with members of the public. As the chairperson, I represented the club to share our experience with the media. I have succeeded in my leadership discussions for Art Club events and comrade teamwork with other student leaders executing the initiatives. Show less
