Elliott worked with me on design issues and verification at BB7. He goes way beyond just recording data and following instructions. He thinks through the end goal, takes good notes of how he does the tests, and puts the data in spreadsheets with number crunching beyond the minimum requirements but without going overboard on analysis either. He approaches problems as an engineer, never as someone just following marching orders. He has a youthful enthusiasm for digging into things and figuring out how/why they work.

Elliot was a student in my Calculus III class in the fall semester of 2008. He finished the course with an almost impossible 107% average (bonus questions!) including a 100% score on the final exam. In my 28 years of teaching it has been very rare to have a student like Elliot who displays such a combimation of ability and dedication.
