My role at Knibbs Design Limited is as a graphic designer and project manager. This includes the designing, developing and building of websites, using different CMS software. Firstly the websites are designed in the adobe creative suite, before being html coded within php and css files, and finally are populated using the CMS software of choice. My graphic design role also includes; illustrations, SEO, print and packaging design. Whilst fulfilling the role as designer I also manage clients, external developers and consultants in a project management role. Ensuring that the design process is as seamless and efficient as possible and meeting the client's needs and expectations.

Product Design at Loughborough University has inspired me to further pursue a career in design. I particularly enjoy the opportunity to work on a project from initial idea, to final working product and all the challenges that brings. I am enjoy immersing myself in new learning and life at university, for example involving myself in sport activities. I hope to further build upon my skills, by making the most of all the opportunities and experiences available to me, in order to pursue my passion for design.

My role at Tesco was a customer assistant, as part of the stock control team. This has improved my people skills dramatically, as I have to deal with a wide variety of situations, including agitated customers, solving their shopping problems and doing my best to assist them. These skills transfer to my design course, by giving me a better understanding of people and their problems. Clearly, this is very relevant to design, as making a user friendly product is a crucial part of the design process. Further skills include, completing tasks to a high standard in a given time frame, in order to meet deadlines. On some occasions my manager is not present and I have to lead and help co-ordinate my team to be as efficient as possible. This shows that I can handle pressure and responsibility and that I excel under these conditions.
