Undergraduate Programme Administrator

May 2018 - Aug 2018
I worked within the Politics & International Studies (PAIS) department, supporting the undergraduate office team during the busy examination period, acting as the first point of contact for staff and students. I was involved in all stages of the examination process; I was given the responsibility of organising invigilators and the special arrangement examinations, allocating the scripts to markers, rectifying issues with illegible scripts effectively and creating packs to send to external examiners. Once the office began to receive marks I compiled multiple spreadsheets on Excel using SITS and handled large amounts of data on a daily basis. I was also responsible for creating ‘exam grids’ which contained student marks for each component for each module for each year along with mitigating circumstance decisions, and was tasked with calculating their overall degree classification. I also assisted with the external interviewing process and took notes during each candidate’s interview and mock lecture. Additionally I was solely responsible for organising the Graduation Reception, such as catering, decorations etc
