  As a research intern, I monitored & collected data on marine and human debris, aquatic & bird species at several beach sites. I specifically looked at the Piping Plover bird species. I input this data to a database, bringing science and conservation hand and in hand. It is gratifying seeing how this work can go a long way for protecting and preserving biodiversity.
