I was nothing but impressed by Ellie from the moment she started with Make it Marketing. Her talent, commitment and ability to learn quickly on the job were exceptional. I entrusted her to work on the full range of services we offer our clients, which included a variety of well written blogs (written in the correct tone for each client), producing creative content for social media - both written and visual - and being hands on with client events and campaigns. It was in large part down the efforts of Ellie and one other team member that one of our Christmas clients had their best year on record. Ellie helped manage a series of campaigns for them that exceeded targets. Her approach was methodical and creative, which showed in the results. I would not hesitate to recommend Ellie to anyone looking to recruit her into their organisation - she will be a tremendous asset.

I spent the summer living in Thórsmörk working with the Trailteam as a part of the Iceland's Forest Service (Skógrækt ríkisins). My work included trail maintenance and utilising GIS to support the Pathfinder project to create a new system of trail mapping in the area. The trail maintenance revolved around improving drainage to reduce erosion and building stone and timber steps. The trail mapping involved supporting the local rescue service by using GPS to mark all the way points along the trails and calculate distances from the trail markers to the nearest car access points and tourist huts in case of an emergency. I worked alongside Buffalo Charity fundraisers as a student fundraiser aiming to raise funds for the Annual Fund at the University. The role involved calling alumni, chatting about their time at University and updating them on current news and how we'd value their support for the annual fund.
