Land managment intern
-
Sep 2018 - Dec 2018
In this internship, I worked under Grace Howell who is the land management specialist at ACT. Grace took the interns around to different lands owned and maintained by ACT in order to teach us about environments of Florida. Under her, I learned skills such as trail maintenance, invasive species control, chainsaw work, and controlled forest burns. I have plans to return internship here in the summer of 2020 where I will take a leadership role and guide new interns in the likes of these skills.
