Ellen is a very good teacher. She knows Chinese is difficult for Dutch people (and most other people) to master, so her program is customised for each group or person. This is why the people from my company have a very steep learning curve when attending her chinese lessons. To learn a lot of Chinese words in a short amount of time is doable, but not after a very hord day of work. Ellen understands that. She starts of with a lot of pace, so she learns what her group is capable of learning that evening. She reads her pupils very good, because it is not easy for everyone to learn Chinese, especially at a intense level.
