My first project at Leonardo involved modelling and simulating data in order to improve algorithms. I used a mixture or excel and matlab to create and analyse data to compare to real life data and check the validity of the model. My current project has enabled me to learn and contribute to the beginning stage of systems engineering. I have used DOORs to write, analyse and manage requirements, worked on system architecture and created an electrical ICD.I have also become a STEM ambassador, getting involved with the EDT's Go4SET scheme and the Smallpeice Girls into Engineering course. I have spent time with enthusiastic school children, helping them to understand what engineering is and how they can become engineers. I am the software lead for Girls into Engineering, which involves integrating an arduino with various sensors and XBee modules and using software to wirelessly interpret what is going on. These projects have given me experiences outside of my normal job and have greatly improved my communication, teamwork and electronics skills. Show less

During my time at HCL I worked as a test engineer finding the baseline of image quality for an existing printer and comparing it to a new model of printer. This involved creating test matrices, reporting my findings in weekly meetings and learning to use new equipment and software.
