My main roles at F&F included: Fitting product and making fit comments to send to suppliers, risk assessing new styles, approving test reports, creating product specifications and general admin. My year at F&F was extremely beneficial and made me realise that I want to have a career in technology, be it product or garment. I had a weeks work experience in the women's tailoring department at Next Head Office in the summer. During the time I spent there I was able to get an overview of the different job roles within the fashion industry, predominantly Buying and Garment Technology. I experienced fit sessions, researched new trends from London Fashion Week, worked closely with the Trainee Buyer and Technologists and generally experienced the daily life in a retail organisation.
