I was fortunate to be employed by Ellen, at the Academy for Talented Youth, not long after I finished my masters degree. I could not have gotten a better or more competent superior and while I received more and more responsibility in the organisation I never stood alone. Just like Ellen always prioritized giving feedback, which allowed me to develop my skills and to undertake my assignments professionally, efficiently, and thoroughly. I learned a lot from Ellen’s strategic overview, and from her work with the establishment of the Academy as an independent membership organisation.
