Review Phase 1 and Phase 2 of Good Access Good Business Project, review and refine Appraisal Tool, approach local businesses within the Nicholson Street Shopping Precinct - by going door-to-door, meet with business owners/key staff to offer free disability access appraisals and raise awareness about the access needs of people with disability. 134 businesses were approached, 70 were appraised - which was an 185% increase in particiapation from Phases 1 & 2. This was attributed to my strategy of changing the program’s focus to education and community building. Statistical review of the appraisals was carried out, and a project report including recommendations was presented to the City of Yarra Disability Advisory Committee, and provided to Council. I started writing fiction in April 2013. I produced a novella, title "Wanderer", which is part one of a three part series I plan to combine into one novel. Wanderer is available as a PDF for anyone to read. I plan to release it as an eBook soon. I have also written a short comic, titled "Toby vs Armageddon", which was illustrated by world famous digital artist "Loopydave" (aka David Dunstan). See my latest project for more details. We will be developing a full length graphic novel in the next year, with plans to release it at Supanova 2015. I am currently working on a full length novel, and have begun developing the sequels for "Wanderer". I have also written two children's books, which I will be illustrating in the next two years. Art Teacher

Feb 2012 - Jun 2012
I taught drawing to a class of 12 children, between the ages of 8-12. The goal was to better represent what they see and imagine using a range of drawing and observation techniques. The children produced a range of artworks based on different themes and styles. The children's major artworks were displayed at the "Welcome Platypus Festival" at Allwood House in March this year.Unfortunately I had to cancel the classes after 6 months due to increased family and work demands. However, due to popular demand, I have promised to run several art workshops for local children in 2013. Show less

I created a new "Good Access is Good Business Guide" for Moreland City Council. This provides information and guidance for businesses, in particular street traders, to provide better access for people with a disability. The challenge with this project is to create a clear, easily understood and engaging document which is compact and practical for the user.
