As a leading creative role in the USYD student architecture organisation, I am responsible for the aesthetic direction of the team and its communication design through both the faculty and wider inter-university architectural scene. This includes the designing of merchandise and graphic promotion across a range of media and platforms. Taking a leadership position within this team setting it allows me to extend myself beyond simply aiding and instead become directly involved with supporting a larger organisation of people in collaboration with industry professionals. This position also broadened my horizons of virtual and in-person communication technologies and networks as to work with greater efficacy and insight. Show less

This intensive work experience introduced me to the inner works of the health and hospitality sectors on a professional level, during which time I developed skills in the medical research field concerning research, critical analysis and interpersonal skills under my mentor Dr Bill Walsh (Director - Surgical & Orthopaedic Research Laboratories, BA Bucknell, PhD New Jersey). I utilised my initiative, passion, collaboration and hard-working attitude to work within a variety of research teams and concurrently active projects in a demanding setting that necessitates this persistent and flexible approach. Such activities involved assisting in elements of the operating theatre, control on animal anesthesia and sample collection and dissections for research purposes. It also established my understanding of group dynamics under intense pressure that stresses the value of effective communication, problem solving and attentiveness to both detail and the bigger picture.
