Animal Care Intern
-
Jun 2019 - Aug 2019
This 12-week competitive internship was completed as part of my undergraduate degree in Zoology. Throughout this internship, I gained extensive experience in animal husbandry tasks such as maintaining and improving animal habitats, preparing diets for multiple species, and assisting with training to ensure appropriate medical procedures could be completed. These skills were developed and enhanced throughout the 3-week rotations where I spent time with various species such as hoofstock, primates, elephants, south American houses, reptiles, big cats, and much more.
