Financed by the Scientia Fellows grant of the University of Oslo, I will study the moral context of family participation in mental health care, analyse the different moral positions and search for answers to the question how families (including patients) and professional care can deal with the moral challenges they are confronted with in practice. Although many initiatives have started to meet the need for triad collaboration in psychiatry, the ethical discussion is not explicitly addressed. With this grant we aim to develop an international research program that contributes to the analysis and understandings of the moral complexities and identify ways to improve practices. Scientia Fellows is an international postdoctoral fellowship program in Health Sciences of the University of Oslo and has a Marie Curie fellow status. I am grateful to the University of Oslo and the VU University Amsterdam for the opportunity to enhance my research carer and strengthening international research relations. Show less
