Shadowing different department managers within the company to enhance my knowledge on what areas of a business cover which roles and responsibilities and how these are crucial to a successful company. Observing a Global Retail Management conference and workshop and learning about what aspects makes stores successful and which KPIs are crucial to the success of different shops around Europe and the United States. Learning about the breadth and depth of roles and responsibilities on a day-to-day basis and how you must be able to adapt and perform under high-pressure circumstances. Lifeguard

My role as a lifeguard allowed me to take on extra responsibilities, as well as increase my skill-set. I am first aid trained and have a training renewal every month. It was my responsibility to remain observant and vigilant in order to minimise any accidents. I recognised any potential hazards or risks and removed them to avoid emergencies. Additionally, I had to ensure the leisure centre remained at an above standard of hygiene, and ensured that when using any toxic chemicals, all PPE was worn by those handling it. Show less

My role here as a front of house receptionist was very valuable to me. As the first person a customer saw when they entered the building it was my job to ensure their experience at the trampoline park started off positively. It was my job to answer over the phone books and enquiries, book parties, take over the phone payment, as well as ensure a balanced till.
