The Sloterdijken area is the last yet to be developed area of Amsterdam. Close to the harbor with a lot of heavy industries still, this huge piece of land will become a totally new part of Amsterdam in the upcoming 10-20 years. Together with creative entrepreneurs, real estate developers and the municipality, the aim is to integrate art and culture within this area from the beginning, for a solid foundation on which the urban development can take place. As a coordinator I have connected all stakeholders by organizing events, design meetings and influence the policymaking process. Show less

hybrid hospitality brand, offering spaces that combine student accommodation, hotel, extended stay rooms, co-working facilities, meeting and event spaces, restaurant, bars and gyms, all under one community and one roof. Originally conceived as a city-centre accommodation option for students, today’s hybrid business has evolved rapidly. As of 2022 TSH has expanded to 15 locations including Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris, Florence, and Barcelona. TSH expects to open another 10 hotels across Europe by 2025, increasing its operation to 25 hotels. As a freelancer I have worked as an event manager for e.g. the Forbes 30 under 30 event and the ADCN Dutch Creativity awards. For the development of the presentation identity for international conferences I have collaborated with both the high level management of the company as well as the internal and external teams of marketing, communication and design. No Sheep Allowed uses creativity for activism. Action organised: a protest on Dam Square Amsterdam, the epicentre of fast fashion. We build a catwalk where models and dancers showed off vintage and sustainable clothing brands while holding protest signs. The goal was to bring across the message of 'don't buy, buy second hand, buy sustainable' by having interaction with the audience in the busy shopping area. They were welcomed to take place on a front row seat and get a make over on the spot and take their 1 minute of fame on the catwalk. Show less

Member of the '24hour' committee from the Municipality of Amsterdam. Together with several creative and hospitality entrepreneurs we discussed and reviewed incoming applications for 24 hour permits in Amsterdam. Main focus was to create an dynamic 24 hours economy in Amsterdam, with opportunities for small creative entrepreneurs and collectives to thrive. There are now ten 24 hour clubs active in Amsterdam, mostly on the edges of the city. Some of them are more '24 hubs' since they offer more than just a club night, but a whole 24 hour experience with restaurant and gym for example. Show less

ENTER THE VOID is an European project between the cities of Berlin, Amsterdam, Budapest and Riga - with an additional base in Ramallah, Palestine - running from 2016-2017. It invites 30 international experts from the fields of youth, subculture, and city making to investigate the role of free spaces for young people in their self-organized cultural, social and political participation. The project aims to set up a dialogue between young people and decision makers, flanked by multi-disciplinary experts, to facilitate the access of young people and their (sub-)cultural practices to urban space. As a summary, the project's title ENTER THE VOID freely translates to "give access to free space". And it’s not just a claim - it’s to become a „How-To“-Manual for local politicians and administrators published by the end of 2017. The project results will furthermore inform the EU Youth Strategy through its incorporation in Structured Dialogue. Enter the Void was invited to 15 countries and 4 continents between 2016 – 17. Our consultation was requested by public institutions, youth organizations, music industry networks, urban development agencies, and young citizens themselves Show less
