Program Manager of two health-related programs; Chronic Disease Self-Management Program (CDSMP) Developed and supported by Stanford University, this evidence-based program is designed for those and the caregivers of those who deal with any cronic illness (Diabetes, High Blood, Asthma, etc). Program consists of 6/2hr. each) workshops instructing participants on ways to better manage thier illnesses (exercise, diet, communication with physicians, etc.) -Trained Lay Leader instructor for these workshops. Tai Chi, Moving for Better Balance Workshops - Designed and sponsored by the Department of Health, Columbus, OH. This program is designed to prevent fails in all those 55 and over. The Tai Chi movements and workouts are to strengthen body core and increase balance in those who participate in the workshop (12wk/1hr. 2 times per wk). Trained and certfified Tai Chi instructor. Identify and locate appropriate classrooms/settings for conducting these workshops. Identifiy, locate, present program information and recruit participants for these health-related programs.
