Secretary to the President, forming the leadership team of the Union. • Supervising 10 staff within the Finance, Payroll and Administration space of RUSU while working as the personal Secretary of the elected Student Union President. • Ensuring that meetings run smoothly and in accordance with procedures outlined in the Regulations, including ensuring that debate occurs formally and that legally binding votes undertaken by the Council are conducted and recorded in a compliant manner. • The chairing of monthly meetings of the 26-member Student Union Council (board) and weekly meetings of the 7-member Secretariat (supervisory body of the board).• Authoring of agendas and minutes (including collation, archiving and referencing of papers) of meetings of the Council and Secretariat. • Responsible for releasing, authorising and signing off all financial payments (including payroll and external vendors). • Assisting the President with working on Union priorities and campaigns, attending meetings and closing feedback loops. Achievements:• Working alongside RMIT University to create a mental health campaign framed around holding positive attitudes towards anyone experiencing mental health issues, assisting them in feeling less alone and promoting belief in each students’ own unique academic success. • The delivery of student community gardens at RMIT Bundoora and City campuses, with the creation of a volunteer group to maintain and curate the gardens. • Advocating for the delivery of international vending machines to embrace cultural diversity and larger food options for students and staff.• Assisting the 2018 Activities Officer with facilitating the 2nd RUSU Rush Week competition, created during my tenure as Activities Officer the previous year.

Managing the RUSU Activities and Events Department in conjunction with two staff members. • Designing and leading orientation activities, cultural events, competitions and weekly social events across three different campuses.• Advertising events, parties and activities through creative marketing practices to engage a diverse range of students appropriately within different times of the semester to maximise retention and authentic attendance. • Overseeing weekly campus-based ‘RUSU Chill n’ Grill’ lunchtime events with diverse food options, including working closely with the Sponsorship and Events staff member to meet budget. These events run on four campuses each week during the semester. Achievements:• Created and facilitated ‘RUSU Rush Week’, a 5 day long orientation competition for RMIT students with daytime and evening events. Over 250 students participated in each of the themed days largely from university clubs, volunteer associations and international students. • Working alongside the RUSU Welfare Officer to create mental health activations during stressful periods of the year focused on self-care and mindfulness, “Chill Out Zone”
