I lead a team of Progress Coaches to deliver our bespoke employability & personal development programme, Aspire. I have developed from conception through to delivery our Aspire programme into the current differentiated packages: pre-level 1, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 pathways and a 21+ mature package. These have been developed in line with the requirements of the EIF, Gatsby benchmarks and to meet the needs of industry employers. In response to COVID 19, we adapted Aspire further which allowed the programme to be integral in supporting, promoting and increasing our students’ digital skills, through the use of an embedded online accredited platform. A key part of my role is to continue to look for ways to improve our student experience and to ensure they have valuable opportunities made available to them. I also lead the development of our 1:1 Progress Review process, supporting staff to better coach student progress, reflection and personal growth. This is key to the internal progression strategy that I have been developing to raise student ambition to progress to the next level of study and stay in education. I work closely with Careers and with Safeguarding to ensure students receive the best support, meeting all statutory guidance, during their time at the college. My role feeds directly in to the college ODP and I work closely with my line manager who is the Assistant Principle of Student Support. Show less
