I had to build up a client list in order to sell the products; this helped me build rapport with customers and built my confidence at approaching and talking to new people. I also have to be good at promoting the products and have arranged a few Avon parties in order to introduce the products to new people. Match Day Steward
-
Nov 2011 - Jan 2018
As part of my work with the response team I have also built up people skills as I was required to search people whilst making them at ease and comfortable. Working as a steward has helped me develop the skills I needed to become a good team worker as we needed to develop skills such as communication to a high standard. My job is to make sure everyone in the ground has a safe and enjoyable experience and to act in situations where safety might become an issue. This job requires quick thinking and good problem solving skills.

I have many responsibilities which include the safety of spectators, customer service, giving out clear information and conflict resolution. At Burton I work in the corporate boxes so require a different skill set to my other stewarding experience as I am dealing with a different type of customer. I have to make sure that there is no issues with the customers and make sure they all have an enjoyable experience whilst making sure they comply with the ground regulations. Wedding Day Staff

Aug 2014 - Sep 2015
I originally started this job as a free work experience opportunity but have since gained employment due to my hard work and enthusiasm whist carrying out the work experience. I gained key skills for the events sector including bar work, waitressing, table dressing, room dressing and chair dressing. I also built on my problem solving skills as I often had to think quickly to make sure the wedding carried on running smoothly with no problems.
