  I served as a summer intern under Judge Jared Rice for the Opportunity Youth Part (OYP), a restorative justice program designed to lift youths ages 16-24 out of the legal system by supporting them with mentoring, career training, and counseling. I attended criminal court sessions and weekly OYP meetings, researched and organized participant data to discover trends among participant demographics, crime statistics, background, and the effectiveness of OYP services.
