I have known Elke since 2008 when I joined TeeJet Technologies. In the organisation like ours that is flat and relies a lot on collaboration between various functions and personal engagement, I have always seen Elke as one of the significant contributors to the common goal. Elke’s role is inside sales and customer service for customers in UK, Ireland, Holland, Poland, Ukraine and Germany. One would think this is a lot to handle, especially in the market like ours, where customers do not speak English, they are culturally biased and have various local needs. But with Elke’s knowledge of multiple languages and cultural awareness this is a task that she solves quite easily… Because of her structured and very disciplined approach to tasks she is able to manage this vast territory in a very effective way. She is extremely customer-centric and thrives for very high standards in her customer service work. She is very passionate about what she does and feels highly responsible for the outcomes of the customer interactions that she is part of. And she is loved by our customers! Apart from working with customers, Elke has been one of the most valuable contributors inside the company as well. She has contributed many great ideas to improve our quality of service and she is always out there looking for things we can do better. We have adapted a number of ideas and practices that Elke has introduced throughout the service organisation. Her ideas are now standard in many of our regional offices. She is also very passionate about customer communication and has been one of the pioneers to establish new practices in communicating to our customers. She is determined to having happy customers! Elke is a very timely person and in daily work she spends time effectively, prioritizing her tasks and contributing at the meetings. She is also a fun person to spend time with outside the meetings as she enjoys doing photography and spending time outdoors and I’ve always found it interesting to spend time with her be it a walk outside in charming West Sussex or a conversation during the bus ride at the company event. She is a pleasant companion to have around. I have been very happy to work together with Elke as a colleague and as her manager for the past 4 years. We have been through an interesting journey.
