I met Elizabeth a few years ago while she was a Student at RHAM high school. Over the last few years this young woman has impressed me as a vibrant, educated and full of energy personality who when she sets her mind to something, moves like a freight train until she achieves her goals. When given a project she is very dedicated and precise; nothing gets in her way until the task is complete. She is always well dressed, polite and smiling and I foresee a vibrant future for this young "power house."

Employed through the Duke University Health Systems, I work as the Program Coordinator for The Residency Professional Development Coaching Program in the Duke University Medical Center. My role as the program coordinator is the organizer, scheduler, and content editor for the Director of the program. For a brief synopsis of my responsibilities, I work with Microsoft Office and RedCap to pair all coaches and coachees, schedule trainings, maintain communication between the physicians and our office. The Residency Professional Development Coaching Program, new in 2016, pairs Duke Internal Medicine residents with a faculty member who coach them on their individual professional development throughout their training at Duke. This program gives the coachee an opportunity to have a non-evaluative relationship with a senior level physician to aid in growing their self awareness, leadership abilities, and careers in medicine. During my time here, I have assisted in expanding this program to Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program, the Anesthesiology Residency Program, and the ALICE Program through the Center for Career Development. With the experience of expanding the aforementioned programs, I have also been lead on expanding to the Pediatrics Fellowship Program. Show less
