After working with Liz, I can’t say enough good things about her. After coming from a different industry, Liz was able to learn the ins and outs of the fitness industry very quickly. I had an opportunity to help mentor her throughout the change, and one of the best things I can say about her is how adaptable she is. She was able to apply her skills in sales and coaching to increase her team's sales in a highly competitive market. She is an excellent relationship builder with prospects, existing members, and staff.

I began working with Liz close to a year and a half ago on a new client program at Advantage. From day one, Liz proved to be a tremendous asset to our team, not only thanks to her knowledge of the pet industry but also in her ability to be a strong leader right out of the gate. With little guidance, Liz was able to learn and command all of our internal systems (which aren’t always user-friendly) with ease, and translate that knowledge back to her team of brand ambassadors in the field. On top of that, early on she recognized the importance of creating defined expectations for her employees, which is not an easy task as a manager. Her high, yet attainable, expectations quickly helped her team rise to the top of our program and Liz began to set program standards without being asked. I also believe that these expectations and the command of her team led to a respect from her employees that many managers are never able to achieve. During her time on this particular program, Liz has held one of the strongest employee retention rates compared to her peers, and it is clear that her management style is the cause of that. Outside of her role as a District Manager, Liz has always offered to take on additional responsibility, and then done so with a smile. She continues to impress upper management at Advantage and receive outstanding reviews from retail store managers and the like. While Liz and I have worked in parallel for most of our time together, I believe that she has also taught me a significant amount about how to be a leader, without directly managing me. Being that I am still in the very early years of my career, I have been extremely fortunate to be able to watch Liz from the sidelines and learn from her. Whether she realizes it or not, she has helped me through various situations as a young manager, especially when I am unsure of myself. She is a great listener and has given me or helped me find the tools in many challenging situations. Liz’s perceptiveness, ambition, and compassion for others will make her an asset to any and all teams and I look forward to seeing where her career takes her.
