Sean Humphrey House (SHH) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Bellingham, Washington whose mission is to optimize the quality of life for low-income individuals living with HIV/AIDS, who may also suffer from other diseases and disabilities, and who are unable to live independently. We have been a partner in this community for over a quarter of a century, working hand in hand with our local government bodies, community organizations, and long-time volunteers and staff to provide an efficient and safe housing model for extremely low-income HIV positive residents. We began as a hospice, when HIV was unmanageable and untreatable. Now, thanks to advances in medication, HIV positive people have the potential to live full lives - if they have the medical and basic needs care that is out of reach for many. Our home is a testimony to the dedication and breadth of our community working together to house and heal those with nowhere else to go. We are excited to continue evolving in the coming year, moving forward in ways that continue to address housing and equity for the people who need us most. Show less
