Neighborhood Planner working on creating and implementing strategic neighborhood plans in the neighborhood of San Antonio. I was the lead planner on a Comprehensive Neighborhood Plan for a Tobin Hill Neighborhood, a historic neighborhood adjacent to downtown San Antonio. The neighborhood plans created a vision oriented focused on improving and maintaining the housing, cultural, and social resources and building upon commercial and educational assets. I also worked with the Conservation District program, the development of the SmartCode, land use change requests, and community development initiatives.

Outcome Based Planner

This was a short term position aimed at creating an evalutaion system to gauge the effectiveness of the housing ministry and rehab program on improving the physical conditions of not only project houses but also on the surrounding neighborhood. I also surveyed participants in the housing counseling program to evaluate the success of the program on improving credit and overall housing conditions of the participants. The document that was created from the findings was used in obtaining more funding to continue the housing and rehab program.
