Completed the User Experience Design Immersive (UXDI), a 10-week, full-time program with over 400 hours of class time, and exposure to industry leaders. It focused on teaching the UX methods and core skills of the entire user experience design process. Skills learned are user research, interviews, A/B testing, card sorting, affinity mapping, personas, journey mapping, competitive analysis, rapid prototyping, agile and lean design, information architecture, wireframing, responsive design, UI design, iterative design, user flows, site maps, presenting design, time management, front-end basics, solving business problems while advocating for the user, working with stakeholders, and team collaboration. Some of the programs and technology utilized are Sketch, Invision, Zeplin, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. • Spinnr App Collaborated on a team of 3 for a startup company that converts album photo to the ability to listen in Spotify. We had the opportunity to let the user research completely define the client's original app screens, while capturing the amazing culture of record collecting, and giving the users the ability to categorize a digital album collection. • Bumbershoot App Concept Worked in a group of 2 to iterate a music festival app. The goal was to build an optimized product design for a mobile experience for festival goers. We worked in iOS on mobile and tablet. After research, we added two user features, an emergency call button and a friend finder. We realized at the beginning of research an unexpected discovery, that users were not using the festival app. Utilizing research we designed the interface for simplicity and only included needed features. • Bumbershoot Designed a responsive website and mobile experience of the above festival app. • Rocket Fizz Concept Improved an e-commerce candy site utilizing the above UX research methodologies. This process utilized my skill to increase business value and create delightful experiences for the user. Show less
