During my tenure at Demeter USA, I provided strategic leadership for this global non-profit certifier of Biodynamic farms and products. This entailed leading the development and execution of short- and long-term strategy with a sharp focus on creating brand value. As a result, I built a highly-respected organization with a prominent industry position. Successes also include raising awareness of Biodynamic throughout the supply chain and creating an organization capable of scale. In 2007, I joined this esteemed premium Napa Valley wine producer to provide strategic management for direct-to-consumer functions. This included overseeing our tasting room experience, guest tours, e-commerce, and wine clubs. As a result, I drove profitable sales with a heavy concentration on customer loyalty and retention. I also built, led, and inspired a 13-member team to provide visitors and club members with an elevated and memorable experience. With Quivira, I successfully repositioned and strengthened this brand of premium Biodynamic wines, vineyards, and gardens in the national marketplace and wine community. During this time, we dramatically increased sales by strengthening distributor channel relationships, re-focusing direct-to-consumer programs, and introducing a wine club program, e-commerce, and special events. I worked very closely with the winery owners' to connect their philanthropy and community interests to the development of the winery brand. We launched a very successful branding initiative, "The Quivira Collection," that featured a world-class antique map exhibition showcased in top museums across the country. We developed a program calendar at the winery that included jazz and symphony performances, live theater, and other cultural events. We repositioned and repackaged an underperforming wine that allowed us to showcase the environmental work conducted on the estate with a philanthropic contribution to a national conservation organization.

With this award-winning, family-owned of 20,000-case winery, I managed all distributor business and marketing functions. This included full ownership of P&L, trade channels, pricing, and brand strategies in 31 states. Most notably, I achieved the largest sale in the winery’s history by securing statewide distribution in their biggest market. I also built our brand representation from 15 to 31 states.
