Electronic Gallery Chairperson

The Electronic Gallery started as a PowerPoint slideshow of teaching artist portfolios during the annual Illinois Art Education Association Conference. I have brought this idea to the 21st century by designing a website that features each artist's portfolio, statement, bio, and resume. The mission behind the new IAEA member's art gallery is that it showcases the teaching artist and submission guidelines are the same as professional galleries. The hope is that teachers bring their experience into the classroom particularly on authentic literacy skills. Show less

Some of the content included in this course: keyboarding, excel, word, powerpoint, stop motion animation, computer mapping, graphic design, researching the web, protecting yourself on the web. I led the Technology Curriculum Standards committee to update and add more rigor to District #34's standards for technology. The new standards were approved by the district's board of education.
