I perform Abdominal, OB/GYN, Vascular exams, and Small Parts, soft tissue, vein mapping, biopsies which may include the following: breast, thyroid, liver, and renal. Procedures that include paracentesis, and thoracentesis. Using my skills, I use independent judgment during the sonographic exams to accurately differentiate between normal and pathological findings. Analyze sonograms, synthesize sonographic information with medical history, and communicate the findings to the appropriate physician. I assume responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of my patients while in my care. I maintain the ultrasound equipment and work station, and always make sure there is adequate supplies.
