I also co-facilitate a weekly Second Step social skills groups, which teaches students skills for learning, empathy, emotion management and problem solving. I create and complete the guidance assessments and goals/objectives in Individualized Education Plans, behavioral plans, treatment plans, progress and semester reports I also assist with the Applied Behavioral Analysis therapist with implementing a behavioral plan for student safety in the school environment. I attend and participate in Positive Behavioral Intervention Support Leadership Team, clinical supervision and guidance meetings. I co-facilitate a weekly Grief and Loss processing group, which helps the students gain a better understanding of the definition and theory behind grief and loss work. This helps to explore interventions and initiate conversation around self-awareness and self-care when faced with difficult situations.

Meeting the students where they are at but also holding high expectations for them yet understanding the difference between resistance and ambivalence can help propel forward and give them more self-confidence. By providing crisis intervention and being able to de-escalate the student in conjunction with processing the incident in a safe manner is crucial for the students emotional development. I am also responsible to facilitate a girls social/self-esteem group. Incorporating individual behavioral plans I also implement the goals from the universal support team. I also write the social and emotional piece of the students Individual Education Plan and present it in the meetings.
