Spearheaded an implementation project for a web-based perpetual inventory system. Took administrator role for the program, training department personnel in proper & efficient use of the system. Developed multi-tiered plan utilizing the Virginia Mason Production System to reduce departmental inventory expenditures and waste in the Interventional Radiology department. In a 4-week time frame, realized an inventory reduction of $256,000 due to consignment contracts and streamlining product locations & par levels. Reduced expirations in Interventional Radiology by 75% over the course of 2 years, and reduced overstock in procedural departments by 73%. Successfully oversaw a large-scale project involving the complex move of multiple departments’ inventory and distribution process into a new building; seamlessly transferred operations without unnecessary expenses. Negotiated with vendors on behalf of hospital departmental interests to achieve competitive pricing, consignment agreements, and efficient exchange / returns of products.
