  AtlantiCare Health Services Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) provides primary, preventative, and specialty services to people of all ages. The health center provides comprehensive services, has an extensive quality assurance program, and a governing board of directors. No one is denied care because of an inability to pay. The health center has also fully implemented the National Standards for Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services in Health and Health Care (The National CLAS Standards). These standards focus on improving health care quality and advance health equity by establishing a framework for organizations to serve the nation's increasingly diverse communities.During my Spring 2022 semester at Rutgers University , I was an intern at AtlantiCare's Federally Qualified Health Center. While working under Sandy Festa, the Executive Director, and Therese Wilkerson, the Director of Patient Experience, I assisted in improving patient experience specifically in patient care across the FQHC. I assisted in scheduling new or existing employees into patient experience training sessions and presenting to the staff alongside Therese. In doing this, I improved patient experience and staff's understanding of patient experience in the FQHC.
